Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove the drive belt shield.
3. Remove the generator/A/C drive belt.

4. Remove the belt tensioner (Fig. 1).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install belt tensioner and bolt (Fig. 1). Tighten bolt to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.).
2. Install generator/A/C compressor drive belt. 
3. Install splash shield.
4. Lower the vehicle.
