Disconnect the wire connectors and remove the security alarm module (Fig. 1).

5.

Position the new security alarm module, p/n 05161581AA, install and tighten the fasteners.

6.

Connect the wiring connectors.

7.

Install the instrument panel top pad.

8.

Connect the battery negative cable.

NOTE: 

All of the customer's RKE fobs must be programmed in the next step.

9.

Program the RKE fobs. Using the DRBIII(R) select:

a.

"DRBIII Standalone"

b.

"1998 - 2005 Diagnostics"

c.

"All (except below)"

d.

"Body Interior"

e.

"Body Computer"

f.

"Miscellaneous"

g.

"Program RKE"

h.

Follow the instructions on the DRBIII(R) screen.
