Pump. Do not tighten at this time.

Reattach the High Pressure Power Steering Hose to the Upper Generator Bracket using the retaining screw removed in Step 7.
Tightening Torque: 72 in.-lb. (8 N.m)
12.
Tighten the High Pressure Power Steering Hose fittings at the Power Steering Rack and the Power Steering Pump.
Tightening Torque: 20 ft.-lb. (27 N.m)
13.
Start the engine and allow it to idle.
14.
Add Dexron-II or Dexron-III ATF to the Power Steering Reservoir until the level is above the "Minimum" mark.
15.
With the vehicle off of the ground, steer the vehicle from full right to full left several times to bleed the air from the system.
16.
With the wheels pointing straight ahead, fill the Power Steering Reservoir to between the "Minimum" and "Max" marks.
17.
Turn the engine off.
18.
Raise the vehicle and clean any spillage, then check for leaks.
19.
Reinstall the splash shield and lower the vehicle.
20.
Road test the vehicle to ensure that the power steering system is operating correctly.
