Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
DOHC Pump Drive Pulley
Removal Procedure
IMPORTANT: The pump pulley can only be removed from the vehicles that are not equipped with the Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO). For
vehicles that are equipped with the EVO, the power steering pump must first be removed from the vehicle.
1. Remove the serpentine accessory drive belt. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt
2. Remove the power steering pump pulley nut.
3. Remove the power steering pump pulley.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power steering pump pulley.
2. Install the power steering pump pulley nut.
Tighten
Tighten the power steering pump pulley nut to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the serpentine accessory drive belt. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt
