3. Install the bolt in the bottom of the shift control lever.

Tighten the shift control lever bolt to 53 inch lbs. (6 Nm).
4. Insert the shift control cable adjuster pinch bolt into the shift control assembly and slide the shift control cable into the shift control cable adjuster.
5. Install the nut on the shift control cable adjuster pinch bolt. Do not tighten.
6. Attach the shift control cable mounting bracket to the shift control assembly with the nuts.

Tighten the shift control cable mounting bracket nuts to 53 inch lbs. (6 Nm).
7. Perform a control cable adjustment.

Tighten the shift control cable adjuster pinch bolt nut to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
Notice: Make sure the slot in the selector position switch is all the way forward and the shift control lever is in Park. Failure to do so may damage the
transmission range switch and produce a false gear indication.
