Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation
Fig. 1 Disc Brake Assembly.
Refer to Fig. 1, when servicing disc brake system.
1.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2.
Disconnect flexible hose as follows:
a. Separate flexible hose from the brake tube, using hose separator No. 09751-36011-000 or equivalent.
b. Detach clips, then the flexible hose from the shock absorber bracket.
c. Disconnect flexible hose from disc brake front caliper using hose separator No. 09751-36011-000 or equivalent.
3.
Remove caliper by removing the two attaching bolts of the disc pad with anti-squeal shim No. 1.
4.
Remove disc brake pad with the anti-squeal shim No. 1 and No. 2 from the disc brake front caliper.
5.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque bolts to specifications.
