Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation

1.

Remove master cylinder. Refer to MASTER CYLINDER/REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

2.

Disconnect vacuum hose.

3.

On Charade models, remove high tension wire and clutch cable if necessary.

4.

On all models, from inside vehicle, separate brake pedal to booster rod by removing cotter or clevis pin.

5.

Remove brake booster retaining nuts, then brake booster assembly.

6.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque retaining nuts to 11 ft. lbs.
