Shift Linkage: Adjustments

Fig. 2 Transmission Control Shaft Lever

1.

Disconnect control cable from control shaft lever, Fig. 2.

2.

Ensure shaft lever rotates with a proper detent.

3.

Align control shaft lever with Neutral range.

4.

Install control cable on shaft lever while selector is in Neutral range. Lightly pull control cable towards the Reverse range.

5.

Tighten adjusting bolt. Fig. 2.

6.

Ensure shift lever can be moved smoothly with a proper detent in each range while operating shift lever button, as required.
