2. Check for continuity between PCM connector cavity 43 and tachometer input terminal. If continuity exists, continue with procedure; if not, repair

open circuit as necessary.

3. Check continuity between tachometer input terminal and ground. If continuity exists, repair short in PCM to tachometer circuit; if not, continue

with procedure.

4. Disconnect black cluster connector, then place ignition switch in On position and check for battery voltage at cavity 8. If continuity exists,

continue with procedure; if not, repair circuit to fuse No. 12.

5. Place ignition switch in Off position and disconnect white cluster connector, then check for continuity to ground at cavity 6. If continuity exists,

replace printed circuit board; if not, repair open circuit to ground.
