Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Diesel Engine Mount
FRONT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable and position fan as necessary to gain clearance, then install suitable engine support fixture.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then lift engine slightly and remove through bolt and nut.
3. Remove engine support bracket/cushion bolts, then the support bracket/cushion.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten bolts and nuts to specifications.
REAR
1. Raise and support vehicle, then position suitable transmission jack beneath transmission and remove support cushion stud nuts.
2. Raise rear of engine/transmission assembly slightly, then remove bolts securing support cushion to transmission support bracket.
3. Remove support cushion and, if necessary, transmission support bracket.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten bolts and nuts to specifications.
