2500 4x2 Pickup V10-488 8.0L Magnum (1996)
Wheel Hub: Service and Repair
1. Remove axle shaft as outlined in "Axle Shaft, Replace."
2. Remove locknut and adjustment nut, then slide off rear drum from axle housing.
3. Remove bearings from hub.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Torque adjusting nut to 120-140 ft-lbs., then loosen adjusting nut 1/3 turn and tap locknut into spindle keyway and
adjusting nut.
