Once the bushing and hole are aligned, a squeezing force (pressing the bushing into the hole) can be applied with the index finger and thumb to
maintain alignment. The chamfer of the bushing will assist in maintaining alignment.

With the other hand lightly clamp a pair of long nose locking pliers on to the bushing and cam on two opposite sides of the pivot pin. Ensure that
the cam is square to the pivot pin. Figure 3

Alternately apply a light clamping force to the bushing and cam on opposite sides of the pivot pin. Care should be taken to ensure that the locking
plier jaw does not obstruct the bushing as it begins to protrude from the opposite side of the cam. Repeat this step until the bushing is fully seated
in the cam. Figure 4

Using a pair of regular locking pliers, squeeze on the bushing flange and cam. The locking plier jaws should remain tight against the pivot pin
during this operation. This will locally flatten the bushing material opposite the bushing flange against the cam and prevent any further dislodging
of the bushing.

Repeat steps 1 through 9 for the other side.

11.

Using touch up paint matching the vehicle, touch up any areas that may have been scratched in the repair process. The paint code can be found on
the body code plate located on the floor pan under the passenger side seat.
