Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Testing and Inspection
REAR CRANKSHAFT SEAL
The rear crankshaft seal Is mounted in a housing that bolts to the rear of the block. Double-lipped Teflon seals are used. The Sealing surface on the
crankshaft must be clean, dry and free of oil during Installation of the seal.
CAUTION: If any oil gets on the crank surface or seal during installation, the seal will leak.
