Poor AM Radio Reception Due to a Loose Antenna

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Poor radio reception, loose antenna base, or excessive antenna whip while driving.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves tightening the antenna base.
1.
Remove the antenna mast.
2.
Tighten the antenna base to 70 in.lbs. using Special Tool No. C4816.
3.
Install the antenna mast.
