NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 5.9L diesel or an 8.0L V-10 engine ("C" or "W" in the 8th VIN Position) built through:

March 21, 1995 (MDH 0321XX) for Regular Cab Ram Trucks.

June 8, 1995 (MDH 0608XX) for Club Cab Ram Trucks.

June 21, 1995 (MDH 0621XX) for Chassis Cab Ram Trucks.
IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved trucks may be in dealer used vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this recall service on these trucks before retail
delivery. Dealers should also perform this recall on trucks in for service. Involved trucks can be determined by using the DIAL VIP System.
ATTENTION: Service and Parts Managers
UPDATE -- Safety Recall 835 - FOR SNOWPLOW EQUIPPED TRUCKS
This update only affects involved trucks in the recall which are EQUIPPED WITH A SNOWPLOW.
Involved trucks equipped with either a Meyers or a Western snowplow may have a driver's side mounting arm that interferes with the installation of the
coil spring tower reinforcements.
To resolve the interference, Meyers and Western snowplows must be updated with a different style snowplow mounting arm on the driver's side.
If the truck being repaired is equipped with a Meyers snowplow, a new left "side member" must be ordered directly from Meyers Snowplow. The side
member part number is 11483. Meyers Snowplow can be contacted at (216) 486-1313.
If the truck being repaired is equipped with a Western snowplow, a new left side "thrust arm" must be ordered directly from Western Snowplow. The
thrust arm part number is 61995. Western Snowplow can be contacted at (800) 603-3493.
NOTE:
Meyers and Western snowplows for 1996 and later model year trucks were designed to accommodate the reinforcement brackets. Trucks equipped
with a Fisher snowplow present no problems when installing the coil spring tower reinforcements. If the truck is equipped with another brand of
snowplow, contact the snowplow manufacturer to obtain the parts needed to accommodate the coil spring tower reinforcements and contact your
zone office for reimbursement.
The following labor operation number and time allowance is to be used as a RELATED SNOWPLOW OPERATION IN ADDITION to the labor
operation numbers and time allowances listed in the recall.

Replace left snowplow "side member" or "thrust arm" bracket (Meyers or Western snowplows only)
For snowplow arm reimbursement, use part number "835BRACK" and add the cost of the arm plus applicable dealer allowance to your claim. Do not
use the Western or Meyer part number on your claim.
