On subject model vehicles the deck lid may not open fully or stay open fully unless given assist. This may be due to the additional weight of the luggage
rack.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Be sure that the deck lid torsion bars are positioned in the bottom holes (#3 position Figure 1) in the torsion bar supports.
NOTE:
THESE TORSION BARS ARE PRE-LOADED. SERVICE SHOULD ONLY BE DONE BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
2.
Remove the cable restraint from right side deck lid hinge. Support the deck lid in the fully open position.
