If voltmeter reads 4 volts or more, locate and repair open in wire between terminal No. 10 and harness connector.
3.
If voltmeter indicates no voltage, replace logic module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the logic module, make sure the terminal in cavity No. 10 is not crushed so that it cannot touch the logic module
pin.
Test 16-Step A, Code 26 or 27-42 - ASD Relay Ground Circuit
1.
Turn ignition switch Off, then disconnect red connector from logic module.
2.
Connect a voltmeter between terminal No. 17 of connector and ground, then turn ignition switch to Run position.
3.
If voltmeter reads within 1 volt of battery voltage, replace logic module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the logic module, make sure the terminal in cavity No. 17 is not crushed so that it cannot touch the logic module
pin.
4.
If voltmeter indicates no voltage, proceed to Test 16 step B.
Test 16-Step B, Checking ASD Pull-In Coil Circuit
1.
Turn ignition switch Off, then disconnect 12-way connector from power module.
2.
Connect a voltmeter between pin 5 of power module and ground, then turn ignition switch to Run position.
3.
If voltmeter reads within 1 volt of battery voltage, locate and repair open or short in wire from terminal No. 5.
CAUTION: Make sure the terminal in cavity No. 12 is not spread apart so that it cannot touch the power module pin.
4.
If voltmeter reads 0 to 1 volt, replace power module.
