600 L4-135 2.2L SOHC Turbo (1985)
1.
With logic module red connector disconnected and ignition switch off, disconnect power module 12-way connector.
2.
Connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 3 of red connector and terminal No. 8 of 12-way connector.
3.
If ohmmeter indicates continuity, proceed to Test 12 step C.
4.
If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, locate and repair open in circuit between connectors.
Test 12-Step C, Injector 3 & 4 Driver Circuit
1.
Turn ignition switch Off, then disconnect power module 10-way connector.
2.
Connect an ohmmeter between terminal Nos. 6 and 7 of connector.
3.
If ohmmeter indicates continuity, proceed to Test 12 step D.
4.
If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, locate and repair open in circuit from terminal No. 6 or 7.
NOTE: If wire in cavity No. 6 is the open one the problem is between the injector harness and where it splices into the main harness.
Test 12-Step D, Checking For A Shorted Injector
1.
Disconnect injector 6-way connector, then connect an ohmmeter between tan wire of connector and ground.
2.
If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, replace power module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the power module make sure the terminals of the power module connectors are not spread apart so they cannot
touch the power module pins.
3.
If ohmmeter indicates continuity, disconnect injector No. 3 connector. Replace injector No. 4 if continuity still exists or injector No. 3 if it does
not.
