SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Intermittent idle die out on a fully warm engine following a deceleration or short duration on/off throttle movement with vehicle at rest. Vehicle will
restart.
DIAGNOSIS
This condition may be difficult to duplicate because it occurs infrequently. Therefore, follow the Driveability Test Procedure to insure all systems are
operating properly. If no problems are found using the Drive Procedure, perform the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair procedure will determine the following:

Ensure that the minimum air flow is set correctly on the throttle body.

Determine if a logic module with a change to read barometric pressure off idle is needed.
1.
Connect a tachometer to engine.
2.
Disconnect throttle body 6-way connector.

Remove brown with white tracer wire from throttle body 6-way connector (Figure 1).
CAUTION:
MAKE A NOTE WHERE WIRE WAS REMOVED FROM CONNECTOR SO IT CAN BE CORRECTLY
REINSTALLED.
