Shift Linkage: Adjustments
When adjusting gear shift linkage, plastic grommets must be replaced.
1. Set parking brake.
2. Place selector lever in P position.
3. Raise vehicle, then loosen swivel lock bolt.
4. Move transaxle lever to front detent (P) position.
5. Torque swivel lock bolt to 100 inch lbs., then check adjustment. On models with console shift, apply a minimum forward load of 10 pounds
on the console shift lever knob while torquing swivel lock bolt. On some models, it may be necessary to apply the forward load to the
transaxle lever while tightening lock bolt.
