Remove the pivot pin, pulling it out from the outside of the guide rail, using needle nose pliers.
CAUTION:
PLACE A PAD ON THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE TO PREVENT SCRATCHING THE PAINT OR DAMAGE TO THE ROOF WHEN
REMOVING THE PIN.

Install a new knurled pivot pin, P/N MR217021, using a punch or pliers from the outside. Make sure the knurled end leads into the hole.
CAUTION:
DO NOT HAMMER THE PIN IN.

Using a trim stick or other suitable tool, slide the locker arm inboard (back to its original position).
8.
Install the sunroof glass on the guide assemblies according to the Service Manual.
9.
Test the function of the Sun Roof and double check to confirm that the pins are fully seated and that the sun roof functions properly.
NOTE:
IF THE SUN ROOF DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY, VERIFY THAT THE LOCKER ARM IS NOT BENT. IF GLASS SEEMS TO HANG
UP, THE ARM MECHANISM MAY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED PREVIOUSLY AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. FOLLOW THE
PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN THE SERVICE MANUAL FOR GUIDE RAIL REPLACEMENT.
