Inspect the alignment of the power steering pump pulley by looking at how the belt rides on the idler pulley. If the belt is riding over the edge of the
idler, the power steering pulley is out of alignment (Figure 2).
If a mis-alignment is detected, perform the Repair Procedure.

(REPLACES P/S PUMP BRACKET & IDLER PULLEY WITH NEW PARTS)
1.
Remove the power steering belt using the procedures listed in the appropriate service manual.
2.
Remove the power steering pump from its bracket. Hang pump to one side.
