Avenger L4-2.4L (2009)
4. Disconnect electrical connector (2) form fuel pump module (1).
5. Start and run engine until it stalls.
6. Attempt to restarting engine a few times until the engine will no longer start.
7. Turn ignition key to OFF position.
8. Disconnect negative battery cable.
9. Place a shop towel below and disconnect the fuel line quick-connect fitting (3) at fuel pump module (1), See: Powertrain Management/Fuel
Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair.
NOTE: After servicing the fuel system, one or more Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) may have been stored in Powertrain Control Module
(PCM) memory due to disconnecting fuel pump module circuit. A diagnostic scan tool must be used to erase a DTC.
