Avenger V6-2.5L VIN N (1998)
(1) When replacing the bearings, select the bearing according to the identification marks which are embossed on the crankshaft and cylinder block.
(2) The identification mark for the diameter of the cylinder block bearing hole is embossed as shown in the diagram, starting from the No. 1 mark art
the front of the engine. Select and install the bearings according to these marks.
(3) Select the bearing from the above table after checking the identification marks according to steps (1) and (2).
1. If the crankshaft and journal outer diameter is 60.000 mm (2 3622 inch), the classification will be "0" and the identification mark will be "0".
2. If the identification mark for the diameter of the cylinder block bearing hole is "l", select bearing "1" according to the rationale in the previous
step.
(4) Install the bearing halves with oil groove on the cylinder block side.
(5) Install the bearing halves without oil groove on the bearing cap side.
(6) Install the thrust bearings on both sides of the No. 3 bearing with the grooves facing outward.
