Rear Cross-Member: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Remove spare tire from the vehicle.
2. Remove the upper suspension bracket nuts.
3. Raise vehicle on jack stands or centered on a frame contact type hoist.
4. Remove rear wheels/tires.
5. If equipped, remove the rear drive module from the vehicle See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Differential Assembly/Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement/Rear Driveline Module/Removal.
6. Make a reference mark on the toe link cam (3), remove the toe link cam bolt and nut (1) attaching the toe link (2) to the rear suspension
cross-member.
