Seat Back: Service and Repair
Seat Back - Installation
Rear Seat
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Rear seat back cushions are serviced as an assembly.
1. Place the four seat back brackets over the body mounted weld studs and position seat back in vehicle.
2. Engage folding rear seat back latch.
3. Install the outer seat back bracket nuts (1) and tighten to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the rear seat buckles and belt anchors. See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt Retractor/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Belt
Retractor - Installation
5. Install rear seat cushion. See: Seat Cushion/Service and Repair/Seat Cushion - Installation
Front Seat
INSTALLATION
1. Position seat back onto seat adjuster.
2. Install both pivot bolts (1) and tighten 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).See: Description and Operation/Seat - Description
NOTE: Do not reuse the recliner assembly attaching bolts.
3. Connect electrical connectors if equipped.
4. Install seat cushion side shields. See: Seat Cushion/Service and Repair/Seat Cushion Side Shields - Installation
5. Install seat in vehicle.See: Service and Repair/Seat - Installation
