Seats - Front

Removal

REMOVAL

WARNING: Discard and replace the seat back bolts (2) with new bolts when servicing. Installing used bolts may result in the loosening of the
seat back bolts after repair. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.

1. Remove front seat from vehicle. See: Service and Repair/Seat - Removal.
2. Remove recliner handle if equipped. See: Service and Repair/Seat Handles/Removal.
3. Remove seat cushion side shield.See: Seat Cushion/Service and Repair/Seat Cushion Side Shields - Removal.
4. Disconnect heated seat connector if equipped. See: Seat Heater/Service and Repair/Heated Seat Element - Removal.
5. Remove seat cushion.See: Seat Cushion/Service and Repair/Seat Cushion - Removal.
6. Remove and discard the bolts (2) and remove the seat back assembly (1)

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Place seat recliner in position.
2. Install recliner right and left bolts (2).
3. Tighten pivot bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
4. If equipped, connect heated seat wire connector.See: Seat Heater/Service and Repair/Heated Seat Element - Installation
5. Install seat cushion side shield.See: Seat Cushion/Service and Repair/Seat Cushion Side Shields - Installation
6. Install recliner handle.See: Service and Repair/Seat Handles/Installation
7. Install front seat in vehicle.See: Service and Repair/Seat - Installation
