Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair
Removal

BRAKE PEDAL

NOTE: Before proceeding, See: Service Precautions/Brakes - Caution.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable from its post on the battery.
2. If equipped, remove the silencer pad below the steering column opening cover.
3. Remove the steering column opening cover on the instrument panel. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

4. Remove the steering column cover reinforcement mounting screws (2). Remove the steering column cover reinforcement (1).

5. If equipped, remove the three clutch pedal blocker mounting screws, then remove the blocker (1) located forward of the lower steering column

shroud (2).
