SUBJECT:
Water In HVAC Housing Or Wet Carpet Under HVAC Housing
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves removing any debris in the HVAC drain tube and installing a cabin air filter.
Inform the customer that the cabin air filter is a maintenance item. Refer to the Owner's Manual, Maintenance Schedules section for proper maintenance
intervals.

NOTE:
The bulletin applied to vehicles equipped with Air Conditioning (Sales Code HAA or HAB) without cabin air filter (Sales Code JMA).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customer may hear a water sloshing sound in the passenger compartment while turning.
They may also notice that the carpet is wet under the HVAC housing. This is caused by the HVAC drain tube being plugged by debris.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the above symptom/condition is experienced perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the condensation drain tube. Follow the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT, Refer To Group 24 -
Heating & Air Conditioning > Plumbing > Tube, Condensation Drain - Removal procedures.
2. Clear any blocks out of the tube.
3. Using a probe (old tie-strap works well) push it up in the HVAC Housing where the drain tube connected and clear any debris.
4. Install cabin air filter (p/n 05058693AA). Follow the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT, Refer To Group
24 - Heating & Air Conditioning > Distribution > Filter, Installation procedures.
5. Install the condensation drain tube. Follow the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT, Refer To Group 24 -
Heating & Air Conditioning > Plumbing > Tube, Condensation Drain - Installation procedures.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
NOTE:
Cover this repair under Warranty first time only for any customer that experiences the condition.
