Connect the negative battery cable.

Standing outside the vehicle, reach into the vehicle and turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Ensure that the airbag warning lamp does not
remain on after the 7 second bulb check period.

WARNING: 

Keep clear of the airbag while turning the key to the "ON" position or personal injury could result.
