Front Door Handle: Service and Repair
Exterior Door Handle

OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE REMOVAL

1. Raise the window glass to the completely closed position.
2. Remove the door trim panel (or, if applicable, the access panel) and the waterdam from the door inner panel.

Outside Door Handle

3. Remove the door handle attaching nuts.

Door Latch

4. Disconnect the handle-to-latch rod from the latch.
5. Remove the handle from the door outer panel.

INSTALLATION

1. Apply silicone spray lubricant to the handle internal moving parts.
2. Position the handle on the door outer panel.
3. Install and tighten the handle attaching nuts securely.
4. Connect the handle-to-latch rod to the latch.
5. Test and ensure that the handle operates correctly.
6. Install the door waterdam and the trim panel.
