Speedometer Head: Description and Operation
SPEEDOMETER SYSTEM
The speedometer system consists of an electric speedometer, a wire
harness from the speedometer to the distance sensor at the transmission, and the adapter and pinion in the transmission. A signal is sent from a
transmission mounted distance sensor to the speedometer circuitry through the wiring harness.
