Door Handle Removal/Installation

Door Latch

OUTSIDE LATCH RELEASE AND HANDLE REMOVAL

1. Open the rear cargo door.
2. Remove the trim panel from the door inner panel.
3. Disconnect the outside handle-to-latch rod from the latch lever via the access opening.
4. Remove the nuts that attach the handle to the door outer panel. Remove the handle from the door.

INSTALLATION

1. Position the handle on the door outer panel with the handle-to-latch rod inserted in the opening. Insert the handle studs into the panel holes.
2. Attach the handle-to-latch rod to the latch lever.
3. Install the nuts that attach the handle to the door outer panel. Tighten the nuts with 7 Nm (65 in. lbs.) torque.
4. Install the door trim panel.
