Models:
1994 Model Year Dodge Ram Van and Wagon (AB) Vehicles Equipped With Air Conditioning Built From June 28, 1993 Through July 1, 1993
Some of the above listed vehicles were built with air conditioning compressors that were filled with R134a lubricating oil, but were charged with R12
refrigerant. R134a lubricating oil is not compatible with R12. Continued operation with this oil will affect the performance of the air conditioning system
and shorten the life of the compressor. To correct the condition, the lubricating oil must be changed and the receiver drier(s) must be replaced.
Details of this service action are explained in the following sections.

Dealer Notification & Vehicle List
Involved dealers: Each dealer to whom involved vehicles were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same street address) will receive a copy of this
dealer notification letter and a list of the involved vehicles by first class mail.
The Vehicle List is arranged in Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sequence. Owners known to Chrysler are also listed. The lists are for dealer
reference in arranging for service of involved vehicles.
All other dealers: Each Dodge Truck dealer who does not receive a Vehicle List will receive a copy of this dealer notification letter by first class mail.
DIAL System Function 70
All involved vehicles will be entered to DIAL System Function 70 at the time of notification implementation for dealer inquiry by VIN as needed.

Important:
Due to the small number of involved vehicles, no parts will be distributed initially to dealers for this recall. Dealers are requested to order parts only
to support scheduled repairs.
Receiver Drier Packages, PN C3905850, may be ordered at dealer cost to support customer demand. Each parts package contains the following

Vehicles equipped with auxiliary (rear) air conditioning (Sales Code HBB) also require replacement of the rear receiver drier. Due to the small quantity
of vehicles equipped with auxiliary air conditioning, rear receiver driers, PN 52004220, must be ordered separately at dealer cost. Dealers are requested
to order parts only to support scheduled repairs.
Owner Notification and Service Scheduling
All involved vehicle owners known to Chrysler are being notified of the service requirement by first class mail. They are requested to schedule
appointments for the service with their dealers at the earliest possible date. A copy of the owner notification letter is included.
Enclosed with each owner notification is an Owner Notification Form. The involved vehicle and notification are identified on the form for owner or
dealer reference as needed.
