NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO 1993 VEHICLES BUILT AFTER MDH 01-01-XX AND TO 1994 VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE MDH 08-31-XX.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A/C refrigerant leaks from the discharge (high pressure) hose connection at the compressor.
DIAGNOSIS:
Check the system for leaks using an approved electronic leak detector. If leak is found at this connection, perform the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing the discharge hose and installing a washer between the screw and the discharge hose flange to prevent the flange from
flexing.
1.
Discharge and recover the refrigerant from the system using approved recycling equipment.
2.
Remove the discharge hose. Replace hose and the O-ring, and install the washer listed above between the screw and the hose flange. Tighten the
screw to 200 in.lbs. (23 N-m).
3.
Charge the system.
