Low Front Ride Height
NOTE:
THE BULLETIN APPLIES TO CERTAIN VEHICLES BUILT THROUGH APRIL 7, 1993 (MDH 04-07-XX). THE BULLETIN IS BEING ISSUED
IN ADVANCE OF A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION TO REPLACE FRONT COIL SPRINGS ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF THE
MODELS LISTED BELOW.
MODELS:
1993 - 1994 (AB) Ram Van/Ram Wagon
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Front end of vehicle is too low. Customer may complain of harsh or noisy ride over rough road surfaces.
DIAGNOSIS:
Input the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) into the Dial System Function 70 to determine if the vehicle is involved in any of the Customer
Satisfaction Notifications on this subject.
Eight notifications have been established to separate the different spring loads available on these models.
Note which, if any, notification number is applicable to the specific VIN entered and order the associated part number replacement coil springs.
PARTS REQUIRED:
One of the sets of springs and two cotter pins will be required for each vehicle.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing front coil springs.
1.
Using the procedures outlined in the appropriate Rear Wheel Drive Ram Van/Wagon Service Manual, replace the front coil springs.
2.
Perform a front end toe adjustment.
