NOTE:

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLE BUILT PRIOR TO 5/13/93, MDH 05-13-XX.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The windshield washer hose may come off the plastic elbow at the wiper pivots. This is most likely to happen if the washer outlets freeze and the washer
pump achieves maximum output pressure.

DIAGNOSIS:

Inspect the washer hoses located beneath the cowl screen. If the hose has come loose from the elbow, perform the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing a revised washer hose elbows.

1.

Remove the wiper arms.

2.

Remove the cowl screen.

3.

Remove the original elbows located at the wiper pivots and install the new elbows, P/N 55154809.

4.

Install the cowl screen.

5.

Install the wiper arms.

POLICY:  Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
