Latches, Strikers & Inside Handle
4. Remove the upper and lower caliper latch retaining screws, separate the latches from the rods and remove them from the door inner side panel.
5. Remove the door inside handle retaining screws from the left door inner side panel.
Handle-To-Latch Rods - Left Cargo Door
6. Remove the anti-rattle stand-offs via the access opening in the door inner panel.
7. Detach the handle-to-latch rods from the retaining clips on the handle.
8. Remove the handle and the handle-to-latch rods from the door.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the inside handle on the left door inner side panel with the rod retaining clips inserted in the panel opening.
2. Install the door inside handle retaining screws in the left door inner side panel. Tighten the screws with 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) torque.
3. Insert the lower handle-to-latch rod in the door. Install the anti-rattle stand-off on the rod and engage the end of the rod with the inner clip on the
handle.
4. Insert the upper handle-to-latch rod in the door. install the anti-rattle stand-off on the rod and engage the end of the rod with the outer clip on the
handle.
5. In turn, position each caliper latch on the door inner side panel and engage it with the handle-to-latch rod. Install the latch retaining screws and
tighten them with 20 Nm (175 in. lbs.) torque.
6. Push upward on the upper handle-to-latch rod via the door panel access opening and eliminate all rod movement.
7. Install the trim panel on the left door inner side panel.
