Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Cleaning and Inspection

Clean manifold in solvent and blow dry with compressed air.

Inspect manifold for cracks.

Inspect mating surfaces of manifold for flatness with a straightedge.

Inspect exhaust crossover passages through manifold. If passages are coated with hard, black carbon, they should be scraped clean and sandblasted to
remove the carbon deposits.
