Upstream Solenoid: Service and Repair
Air Switching Solenoid
NOTE:
The Air Switching Solenoid is attached to a bracket and is located at the top/rear of the right cylinder head cover.
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
EGR/Air Switching/Canister Purge Solenoids Vacuum Connections
1.
Remove vacuum hose and electrical connector from solenoid.
2.
Remove mounting fastener and remove solenoid pack.
Serviceing The Solenoid Pack
3.
Depress tab on top of solenoid to be replaced and slide the solenoid downward out of mounting bracket.
4.
Reverse above procedure to install.
