Using a 1" hole saw, drill a hole in the air cleaner snorkel (Figure 1). Use a "rat tail" file to file 1/8" notch for check valve nipple. Check fit of
thermal check valve, PN 4275241, to hole.

Install thermal check valve, PN 4275241, in hole with hose nipples facing upward. Install spring clip, PN 4201268, to retain thermal check valve.

Remove vacuum hose from air cleaner vacuum motor. Install 1/8 x 1/8" connector, PN 4095145, in end of existing vacuum motor hose. Cut one 4"
piece of 1/8" vacuum hose, PN 3780508 (serviced in bulk stock 50' rolls), and attach to other end of 1/8 x 1/8" connector. Attach this lengthened
hose assembly to the outer (smaller) nipple of the thermal check valve.

Cut one 3-1/2" piece of 3/16" vacuum hose, PN 4105167 (serviced in bulk stock 50' rolls), and one 3-1/2" piece of 1/8" vacuum hose, PN
3780508 (serviced in bulk stock 50' rolls), and attach to 3/16 x 1/8 connector, PN 4241296, included in package. Install 3/16" end of hose
assembly to center (larger) nipple of thermal check valve. Install 1/8" end of vacuum hose assembly to vacuum motor nipple.
8.
Check the vacuum lines to be sure they are not pinched or kinked, reroute as necessary.
