Install transaxle in vehicle. Lower vehicle and check engine/transaxle alignment.

Refill transaxle to the correct level with Mopar type 7176 Automatic Transmission Fluid, PN 4318007.
7.
Cheek vehicle for smooth engagements into drive. Road test vehicle to verify proper transaxle operation.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION
When vehicle is placed in DRIVE from any other gear position, the engagement is noticeably harsh. This condition can be aggravated by idle speeds
higher than specified on the emissions label for warm curb idle.
DIAGNOSIS

Park vehicle on a level surface. Set parking brake.

Verify correct engine idle speed per vehicle emissions label.

Check transaxle oil level using appropriate service manual procedure.
^
Check for proper engine mount isolator adjustment using appropriate service manual procedure.
