SYMPTOM/CONDITION

The power loss lamp (1987-1/2) or check engine lamp (1988) may be illuminated shortly after start up of cold engine and a Fault Code 13 will be set
during this period.

DIAGNOSIS

Use the Driveability Test Procedure to verify proper operation of the map sensor prior to installation of this package.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

This repair involves the relocation of the map sensor to the alternator bracket, and the installation of a new manifold vacuum connecter and vacuum line.

1.

Locate the manifold vacuum connector on the right side of intake manifold. Replace it with the new manifold vacuum connector supplied. Be
certain that the two smaller vacuum connections end up in a horizontal position.
