Trailer Connector: Description and Operation
Stop Lamps ON
CIRCUIT OPERATION
When the operator activates the stop lamps, circuit L5O supplies voltage to the contact side of the left combination relay. The L5O circuit is
double crimped at the relay
Voltage is passed through the CLOSED contacts in the relay to circuit L615. This circuit connects to the contact side of the left stop/turn relay
The other branch of the L5O circuit connects to the coil side of the left stop/turn relay. The L5O circuit is also double crimped at this relay
Voltage at the coil side of this relay causes the contacts in the relay to CLOSE connecting circuits L615 to L73. The L73 circuit connects to the
trailer tow connector. Ground for the relay is supplied on circuit Z1.
The other branch of the L5O circuit connects from the left stop/turn relay to the coil side of the right stop/turn relay The L5O circuit is double
crimped at this relay Voltage at this relay causes the contacts in the relay to CLOSE connecting circuits L605 and L74. The other branch of circuit
L5O connects from the right stop/turn relay to the right combination relay contact side.
Voltage is passed through the CLOSED contacts in the relay to circuit L605.
