Working from side to side, slide the crossbar toward the rear of the vehicle keeping it close to perpendicular with the side rails. Continue moving
the crossbar until it is approximately 18 in. from the rear end of the side rails and the crossbar aligns with the engagement slots at that position
(Fig. 5).

Slide the crossbar until it engages the slots, then press the stanchion levers to the lock position.
9.
Using the same procedure install the front crossbar. Continue moving the crossbar until it is approximately 18 in. from the front end of the side
rails and aligns with the engagement slots at that position

Slide the crossbar until it engages the slots, then press the stanchion levers to the lock position.
11.
Rotate the side rail end covers to their original position and gently press down until snapped in place.
**Procedure B
1.
Use a suitable tool to pry the rub strip off the front roof rack crossbar.
2.
Place the new rub strip into position onto the crossbar. Start at one end and apply downward pressure to the rub strip ensuring the rub strip notch is
fully inserted into the crossbar groove.
3.
Perform steps one and two to replace the rub strip on the rear crossbar.
4.
Adjust crossbars to the proper position (Fig. 5).**
