The inspection section has been changed to read as follows:
Inspection
1)
Inspect the rotating condition of the cooling fan by hand. If the fan rotates smoothly with a definite resistance, the cooling fan is in good condition.
Replace the fan clutch if any of the following conditions are present.
(A)
Cooling fan rotates freely (no resistance is felt).
(B)
Cooling fan turns hard (excessive resistance is felt).
(C)
Cooling fan is locked.
2)
Check for leaks at the case joining surfaces and bearing seal. If leaks are evident, replace clutch as an assembly (Figure 17).
