Shift Solenoid: Service and Repair
Transmission Solenoid and Pressure Switch Assembly - Removal

REMOVAL

NOTE: If the Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly is being replaced, the Quick Learn Procedure must be performed. See: Powertrain

Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/TCM Adaptation 

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove valve body assembly from transmission. See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Valve Body/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/42RLE Automatic Transmission/Valve Body - Removal 

3. Remove Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly retaining screws (2) from solenoid.

4. Remove Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly (1) and screen from valve body (2).
