THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION IS THE PREFERRED METHOD FOR FLASHING ECUs.
HELP USING THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION FOR FLASHING AN ECU IS AVAILABLE BY SELECTING "HELP" THEN "HELP
CONTENTS" AT THE TOP OF THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION WINDOW.
THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT RELEASE 10.03 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.
StarMOBILE DESKTOP CLIENT OR StarSCAN MAY ALSO BE USED TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.

Flash: Amplifier for Speaker Distortion
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves flash reprogramming the Amplifier with new software.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built with sales code RC6 - 6 Boston Acoustic Speakers, RC7 - 7 Boston Acoustic Speakers w/Subwoofer, RD7 -
276 watt amplifier, and / or RDF - 368 watt amplifier.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may notice that the Front door speaker is noisy, has a rattle sound, front door buzz or speaker distortion.
DIAGNOSIS:
Reproduce customer condition with customers music and volume and tone controls. If the speaker sounds distorted, or noisy flash the amplifier.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE:
If this flash process is interrupted/aborted, the flash should be restarted.
1. Using the wiTECH Diagnostic Application for flashing an Amplifier is made available through the wiTECH Diagnostic Application. For instructions
select the "HELP tab on upper portion of the wiTECH window, then "HELP CONTENTS. This will open the Welcome to wiTECH Help screen
were help topics can now selected.
2. Clear any DTC's that may have been set in other modules due to reprogramming. The wiTECH application will automatically present all DTCs after
the flash and allow the tech to clear them.
NOTE:
Amplifier Software will be updated to 05064353AQ.
