Valve Deactivation Solenoid: Service and Repair
Multiple Displacement Solenoid - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Verify the MDS solenoid bores are free of debris before installing the MDS solenoid into the engine block.
2. Install the MDS solenoid(s) (3), ensure the seal is fully seated into the engine block.
3. Install the retaining bolt(s) (2) and tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the MDS electrical connector to the solenoid(s) (3).
5. Install the foam insulator pad (1).
6. Install the intake manifold See: Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Intake Manifold - Installation.
