Challenger V8-5.7L (2010)
5. Install timing chain (5) and sprockets (1,3) See: Timing Components/Timing Chain/Service and Repair/Timing Chain & Sprockets - Installation
6. Install timing chain tensioner (4) and guide (2).
7. Install the oil pump (1) and tighten bolts to 28 Nm (248 in. lbs.)See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pump/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
8. Inspect oil pick up tube O-rings and replace as necessary.
9. Install the oil pick up tube (1) and tighten fasteners (2) to 28 Nm (248 in. lbs.).
10. Install the timing chain cover See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Engine Timing Cover(s) - Installation.
11. Install the oil pan See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pan/Service and Repair/Engine Oil Pan - Installation.
CAUTION: Engines equipped with MDS use both standard roller lifters (2) and deactivating roller lifters (1). The deactivating roller lifters
must be used in cylinders 1,4,6,7. The deactivating lifters can be identified by the two holes in the side of the lifter body (3), for the
latching pins.
